Karela Masala - How to Make Karela Masala?




 Ingredients:-


  • 3 Fresh Karela (Bitter gourds) 
  • 1 Onions Chopped  
  • 2 tea spoon Jeera Seeds     
  • 2 tea spoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 Red Tomato Paste  
  • 2-3 Green Chilli              
  • 1/2 tea spoon Red Chilli Powder         
  • 1/2 tea spoon Turmeric Powder  
  • 1 tea spoon Coriander Powder  
  • 1 tea spoon Garam Masala  
  • Salt(According to Taste)            
  • 2 table spoon of Cooking Oil                                     
  • table spoon of Coriander leaves              



Preparation Method:-



  • Wash the Karela with fresh water.
  • Cut Karela in equal pieces in length.
  • Take a small Pan/Kadai and heat some Cooking oil.
  • Add Jeera seeds and chopped onions in it. Fry onions untill golden brown in colour.
  • Add some ginger-garlic paste in it and fry it until its golden brown.
  • When oil separates add some tomato paste.
  • When oil leaves tomato and onion mixture, add some coriander power, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala and salt.
  • Leave it for 2-3 minutes or until it starts leaving oil.
  • When the masala is thoroughly fried, Add Karela, green chilies and stir until the spices cover the Karela
  • Continue cook it for 8-9 minutes on low gas till done.
  • Now it is ready to serve.
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves.
  • Serve it with Paratha or Chapati/Pulka.
